N.J. ASSAULTS, ROBBERIES RISING AT ALARMING RATE
Assaults and robberies jumped significantly in North Jersey in 1989, according to the Uniform Crime Report for that year, recently released by state police. Passaic County Prosecutor Ronald Fava said that much of the increase is attributable to drug addiction.
